Thinking Again

Oh No! by Vonia Martin This may prove to be another one of my hare brained ideas but who cares. My belief is that it may mean something to someone some where and that's good enough for me.  Okay, this idea is simple and has been working for me so far; exercise. I know you've heard it before but maybe not quite like this. Viruses do not do well in warmer climates so does it not follow that a person whose core temp reaches a certain degree would kill any said virus? What that degree is I have no idea but it maybe worth a study. If you think about it it makes sense and it's usually the simple answers that work the best. So get out there and heat it up but remember to stay hydrated and consult your doctor first. If you have stairs in your house, use them, they bring my temp up the fastest along with my heart rate.  Who exercises the least? The elderly and the infants. This maybe why they get viruses more often and more easily than the rest of the population. I...

Privacy No More

There is No Such Thing by Vonia Martin Gone are the days when we can do something completely idiotic and be relatively sure no one saw us do it. Everything we do is caught on camera wether we know it or not. They say that the true nature of a person isn't known by the way they act when people are watching but by how they act when they think no one is watching. Any more some one is always watching via cameras and cell phones. Has this knowledge led to people being on their best behavior? You would think but not necessarily. We are a species of short term memory but as time goes by we tend to forget what is always there and start acting like no one is watching again. In general people are fairly honest and good, not wanting to harm to any one but not wanting any harm to come to themselves as well. Most people know, instinctually, that we are here to help each other. We are meant to assist those less fortunate than ourselves. Not for credit or praise or a reward but for the s...

Teeth&Gums

Save Your Teeth and Gums! By Vonia Martin Not too long ago I had to have a molar pulled. For over twenty years I ignored my teeth and gums. Sure I brushed, maybe even twice a day, at times. I smoked cigarettes and other things, some not legal, I chewed on ice and opened things with my teeth.  Totally taking my health and teeth for granted. Needless to say, I wasn’t flossing on any regular basis maybe if I had something stuck between them. When ever I did brush I brushed my tongue, as well. After twenty years I finally received some consequences having to pay with a molar and I miss it so much! I never knew how big molars are. This particular one had a filling in it and it had fallen out then my tooth split apart and couldn’t be saved. Soon I am facing another loss of a tooth, this one will be noticeable and I am very vane. I keep hoping it will stabilize as the infection goes away but wishful thinking on my part.  My baby teeth rotted out of my head as a kid, oral hyg...
